Adam David Fetty was born at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. He lived the first 6 years of his life in Standfordville, NY. In summer of 1996, The Fetty family moved to Raleigh, NC where Adam attended Hillburn Elementary and later graduated from Leesville Elementary, Leesville Middle and Leesville High School. Adam graduated from Appalachian State University (ASU) in Boone, NC with a Bachelors degree in Sustainable Development and Technology. Adam later pursued Culinary Studies also at ASU. Growing up Adam attended Leesville Baptist Church and LBC Youth Group. Adam was also active in BSA and completed Tiger Scout through Eagle Scout level, most all in Troop 360.
Adam worked at New World Coffee House and Azitra Restaurant in Raleigh, and The Cardinal Restaurant, Proper Restaurant and The Art of Living Retreat Center in Boone, NC. Adam David moved to Chapel Hill in September, 2016 and worked as Sous Chef at The Counting House in Durham, NC. Adam David loved life with a passion, he loved his Creator with all of his being, he loved every single human life that he touched, and he had a true passion for cooking, baking and feeding those around him. No words can express the ache in our hearts, Dear Adam!!!
Surviving family members are James Evan Fetty (father), Linda Lorraine Fetty (mother), Evan James Fetty and Danielle Kathleen Fetty (siblings), and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
